SERIES DEVELOPMENT

In 2021, director Tim Cianfano and producer Anthony Feliciano co-wrote Dinosaurs in Our World, a two minute short film presented as a breaking news report depicting humans and dinosaurs coexisting. Featuring visual effects by Digital Duck, the film was released in May 2022 and went viral on Twitter and YouTube, reaching one million views in ten days and accumulating over three million views by 2025.

The short's success inspired the production team to expand the concept into a series of dinosaur themed stories. Two scripts were drafted: one centered on a baby dinosaur that must be reunited with its family, written by Tim Cianfano, Bri Bollmann, and Chris Pugh; and another developed as a treatment by Anthony Feliciano about a mother and son stranded at a remote gas station and hunted by voice mimicking raptors.

Although both projects were initially planned to be shot simultaneously, the team ultimately chose to focus all resources on completing a single film, The Hatchling. Upon release, The Hatchling reached 100,000 views in ten days. Afterward, Feliciano revisited his earlier raptor based treatment, expanding and reworking it into the anthology sequel Nightfall, which reached 100,000 views in just 48 hours.

The Pine Ridge Anthology continues to captivate audiences with thrilling dinosaur encounters and compelling human stories. Each film builds on the universe's rich mythology, blending suspense, emotion, and prehistoric wonder to deliver unforgettable cinematic experiences. With each release, the series pushes the boundaries of storytelling, inviting viewers to explore a world where survival, family, and the unknown collide.
